The Institute for Macroeconomic and International Policies (I-MIP) is a new policy research institute based in Paris, hosted by the Paris School of Economics (PSE) and sponsored by both PSE and the Center for Economic Research and Applications (CEPREMAP). The I-MIP aims to conduct analysis and quantitative evaluation of public policies based on the most recent methods used in economics, with an emphasis of numerical methods.

For its launch in January 2025 I-MIP will recruit on competitive terms two policy focused economists, with knowledge and expertise in the fields of international trade, global value chains and network analysis.

- Experienced senior research economist: The successful candidate will have strong modelling, applied econometrics, database handling and programming component, with a commensurate track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and a track record in funded research. All I-MIP projects involve teamwork and, therefore, the successful candidate will have to work closely with other I-MIP economists and affiliated researchers. The senior economist position involves working primarily on policy evaluations conducted by I-MIP and contributing to the development and maintenance of its quantitative tools. The successful candidate is expected to engage with economists and research activities from the Globalization, Political Economy and Trade group (GPET) at PSE, including attending and contributing to the Paris Trade Seminar.
